ARTIST’S STATEMENT

It is the process of a work of art that ignites my passion and continues to fuel my  development as an artist.  If the end product is a “visual treat” that continues to teach me about the language of art, invites me (or other viewers) to continue to study the visual elements that it contains and opens my eyes more to the world of perception, then I feel the work is successful.  I always look to nature for influence and always see “distillations of the natural world” in my work.
